Case in point. We had a church potluck on Sunday night and I needed to make something to bring. My requirements were:
1) I didn't want it to really be a hot dish.
2) It shouldn't be terribly expensive.
3) It needs to be quick to make.
Why not try pie? This recipe fit the bill.
I first learned of this recipe from my my Aunt Becky and I have no idea where she heard it from. Perhaps she made it up? Maybe this recipe should be called Aunt Becky's Hershey Bar Pie?
Either way, it's delicious and contains 3 ingredients. Oh, please excuse the iPhone pics...my camera battery is dead.
Ingredients
1 6-pack of regular sized Hershey bars
1 container of Cool Whip
1 pre-made graham cracker pie crust
Directions
-Remove 1 Hershey bar from pack and set aside.
-Break apart 5 remaining Hershey bars into a glass or microwave-safe bowl.
-Microwave in until melted. (about 1 minute and then another 45 seconds or so in my micro)
-Fold in the entire tub of softened Cool Whip.
-Mix with a hand mixer until combined. Mix will not be completely smooth but will have "flecks" of the cooled chocolate.
-Pour into pie crust and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
-Take the remaining Hershey bar and break it in half. Eat one half. Chop the next half with a knife and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top of pie filling.
Keep refrigerated until serving. :)

Yummmm. So easy! And looks delish! I vote yes on this pie :)
