So, in the last episode, I talked a bit extensively about how important it is for a man to be funny. And that when they say they are funny, that usually means they aren't.
But something I didn't really talk about in the last post is how important it is for a man to be sweet. I don't mean the kind of sweet that has ulterior motives the wrong motivations behind it. I don't mean sweet only when he's around his mama or his pastor. I'm talking about pure, unadulterated, precious sweetness. The sweetness that comes from a kind soul.
If you can find a man that's sweet...keep him.
Speaking of sweet, Mr. First Date called me at midnight on my birthday (you know...right when it became my birthday) and SANG Happy Birthday to me. Precious. And he got me a gift....after only one date. For our second date, we went to one of my favorite restaurants, Olive Garden. [Don't hate. The OG is uh-maze-ing.] Oh, and the night ended in ice cream. Really, could it get better?
So, this brings me to the main question I have for your online dating experienced readers. Is it appropriate/inappropriate/rude/okay/weird to continue to keep your online profile active if you start dating someone repeatedly? [I'm not saying that's what is happening here, but more just wondering what's the proper protocol?]
Of course your thoughts, comments, advice is always appreciated. Have a fabulous Tuesday, friends!
HUZZAH for a lovely second date and a sweet birthday wish and gift!
ReplyDeleteI am not in the know about keeping the profile up. Is there a way to make it inactive without totally taking it down?
Holler!!! Keep these tales coming!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the answer to protocol, but maybe someone else does :)
Sounds like atop might have a winner on your hands....
Thats a tricky question. I'd wait until as last three dates and see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteAwesome about your date and the super sweetness of your birthday as a whole. I've never done online dating but I guess since you MET him through the online site that you should ask him just think of it as, do you want HIS to be open for other girls to view. I guess it depends on if the two of you are open for meeting another person or if you want to see how this one pans out with no other distractions. From reading, sounds like he is a catch and a half. Keep us updated on the development, super exciting! My best friend met on Christian mingle and got married the next year. When ya know you just know..
ReplyDeleteWhen my boyfriend and I started dating, from online, we both had our profile up until we discussed what we "were." I think we both found that we weren't checking it anymore much if at all, and it kind of just went that direction.
ReplyDeleteI took my profile down after we defined our relationship. It was such a nice feeling to close my profile and be done with it.
