top 5 tuesday: color trends for fall

Hi y'all! Top 5 Tuesday is back this week after taking a brief hiatus last week. This week's topic is the top 5 color trends going around this fall. Some of them are quite adventurous and some of them are a bit more do-able.

So without further adieu, I give you the Top 5 color trends for fall!

Mustard yellow and plum are a big color combo this year as well as navy and lime green (SWEET!) and melon and dark green. I think the last one, in particular, is great for giving some of your summer stuff some winter wearability. You can take a melon tank or short sleeve top and pair it with a hunter green blazer or cardi and you've got a perfectly fall outfit.

My 2nd favorite neutral is very huge this year as well. I've seen all shades of gray from charcoal to pale gray and they are being paired with dark or dull yellow (think dijon mustard instead of rubber ducky) and bright berry. I've never been a huge fan of anything in shades of "berry" but I really like the idea of pairing it with gray.

What do you think about these color trends? Can you see yourself trying any?

  3. I've been loving gray for a year now. Who knew I was trendy? I will not be trying any of the first three color combos. I look awful in mustard, lime, and melon. They just don't work with my coloring. I might try the melon and green combo on my toddler though. She looks great in both colors and I'm really trying to move away from pink everything now that she's getting older.
