I realize I'm a bit late on this as most of the fall season tv shows have already aired their Halloween episodes, but I wanted to comment briefly on some of my favorite fall shows this year. Today's Top 5 Tuesday are the top 5 tv shows I'm all about this fall.
1) The Office. Even without Steve Carell, I really am liking this season. (surprisingly) It's like the writers are trying EXTRA hard this year because of their main star being off the show. It's definitely working.
2) Modern Family. I am a bit late on to this bandwagon, but I'm okay with that. I started watching the show last season and I seriously laugh out loud for so much of the episode each week. I can't decide the relationship I like more...Cam and Mitchell or Gloria and Al Bundy...I mean...Jay.
3) Pan Am. I can't get enough of this show. Not only is the plot intriguing but the fashion and style of that time period is so cool. I wish we could bring back wearing cute hats and gloves. The Brits can do it....why can't we??
4) New Girl. Sadly, this show became a victim of the drawn-out, way over exaggerated and quite frankly, I don't know if it's even over yet, World Series. This show only aired a few episodes before the World Series and playoffs interrupted it, but I'm looking forward to it coming back in a few weeks!
5) Happy Endings. I inadvertantly gave this show a second chance when I left the tv on one night after Modern Family while I was surfing the net and found myself laughing pretty hard at this show. The opening scene in one of the episodes with the shellfish, epi pen and clam knife had me clutching my sides I was laughing so hard.

I agree with you about Pan-Am and The New Girl. I am also enjoying Once Upon a Time, Suburgatory, Revenge, and my fave sitcom Community. Plus, the new season of Top Chef premieres tomorrow! I am really impressed with ABC this season. A lot of the new shows are really good.

ReplyDeleteI also gave up on Happy Endings, but returned to it this season and am LOVING it. That Halloween episode last week was killer. ZZ Top Gun and the Baby Bjorn? Hilarious.
I'm also rekindling my love for the Office this season and have always been a fan of Modern Family.
The only one on your list I don't love is Pan Am. It was good and I watched several episodes before deciding that my tv schedule was just too full to continue with it. It got the ax.
have loved Modern Family the past 2 seasons, and it doesn't disappoint every single time....

Revenge-definitely wasn't going to watch this according to the previews and the idea of revenge versus forgiveness, but I gave it a chance after the 2nd episode, and I'm totally sucked in
CSI- I've watched this since high school and still enjoy it season after season
