It may have something to do with the fact that it's the main color of this team. Boo.
But also because orange doesn't necessarily represent many good things. I mean, prison jumpsuits, traffic cones, reflective vests...
But this year's Pantone's Color of the Year for 2012 - is Tangerine Tango. It's a gorgeous shade of coral-y orange. It's such a wonderful color for spring and summer. Here are some pretty Tangerine Tango-ish pieces.
Even if you're unsure of wearing Tangerine Tango in a large wardrobe piece (like pants or a dress), you can totally rock it in an accessory or two. Think earrings and shoes or a big statement necklace...or even Tangerine Tango nails/toes.

Coral! I actually just recently Googled this color as I was researching ideas for Brandy's book cover art. I have no idea how I knew to call it coral (this is the color that comes up when I type that in, bytheway), but it's a lot classier than orange, I think.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually like orange either. At my old church we had an event where we all wore these pumpkin orange t-shirts and I swear I looked like a zombie in that shirt!
ReplyDeleteI am loving all the Tangerine Tango though! I have the skirt, of course, the toes, and, just yesterday I got a bracelet at Dress Barn too :)
Thanks to your blog, and a few others, I am trying lots of new things in fashion and I am loving it! Even better, my husband has told me severl times recently that he is loving it too :)
the only thing I hate about this color is that it is so trendy right now!
