When I read that the prompt for this week's Inspiration Workshop was my FAVORITE COLOR, I knew I was going to have to choose one. Or was I? All I needed to do was take a glimpse at my bedroom and realize how I (unconsciously??) blended my two favorite colors into 1 mega-favorite-color...AQUA.
Oh, how I love this pairing of just the right amount of blue and green. And to think that it was right under my nose the whole time! Aqua goes great with any color. In this case, I've paired it with violet but I love it with chocolate brown, teal, navy blue, yellow or even peach.
It's so peaceful and calm to me. Aqua makes me think of the ocean and of clear, sparkling sea water in the Tropics. There's even the color aqua in these photos of the beach that I've had in my bedroom for years.
I never realized how much aqua I have. Now, I'll know for sure what my favorite color is when someone asks me, because I'll say it's aqua: the perfect combination of blue, green and serene. :)

ReplyDeleteThe comforter came from Target and the candlesticks were from Marshalls or HomeGoods and were black. I spray painted them teal because black is boring!! HA!
