inspiration workshop: front porch

Two posts in one day?!?! Impressive. :)

But, I didn't want to miss out on a chance to link up with this super-awesome edition of Gussy Sews' Inspiration Workshop. This week's prompt was FRONT PORCH.

Being from the south, y'all know that a front porch is usable about 9 months out of the year...so it better be one that's pretty, functional and comfortable, right?

My dream front porch has ceiling fans, lots of plants, comfy seating, a swing and is probably located near the beach. (sigh) Something sort of like these...

Ah, I wish I had a big front porch. Someday. But until then I'll just swoon over these...
Do you have a front porch? What are your must-haves for it?

  1. I lived in North Carolina for 4 years and LOVED all of the front porches. It was my goal to move back some day and have a wrap around porch. You'll have one someday. :o)

  2. We don't have a porch either, but I would take any of yours, especially the one with the water views. So pretty :) Stopping by from Gussy.

  4. I passed a porch today on my walk that almost made me stop and take a picture of it for you. It had these really cool looking windows hanging from the edges that I thought were pretty inspirational.
