ootd: in the navy

When I was in middle school I announced to everyone that I wanted to be in the Navy when I grew up. More specifically, I wanted to be a Navy Chaplain. I even went as far as getting a t-shirt from a local Navy recruiter and sporting it like it was my job.

Well, I DIDN'T join the Navy. Three years in Army ROTC quickly made me realize that though I like structure and organization, I don't necessarily like not having a creative outlet in my job. Anywho, though I didn't join the Navy, one of my favorite colors IS navy blue. I like to think that all those years of wearing my Navy t-shirt cultivated a love for navy blue.

My favorite color combo of all time is navy blue, kelly green and white. It's so classic and beautiful. And it was the inspiration of today's OOTD post which I titled "In the Navy" appropriately enough.

How's this for another "summery" outfit? I was pretty determined to not look like fall...again.

Shirt: Old Navy
Skirt: MADE BY ME!! Read the blog post here.
Shoes: Old Navy

I also just realized that the majority of my clothes today are from Old NAVY. Bam! I'm just THAT good. :)

Happy Wednesday, y'all!
