I'm linking up with the lovely Mrs. Leslie at A Blonde Ambition for Confessional Friday.
So, let's get to confessin'...
//1. I confess that while researching popular social media marketing campaigns for work, I stumbled across this UK campaign similar to Geico's gecko in the US. Similar...but different. Why? Because these guys are SO much cuter.
//2. I confess I've had a MAJOR sweet tooth attack this week. There is no need to go into detail other than chocolate was consumed daily...and in large quantities. Sigh.
//3. Since I'm on the food confession trend, I also had chips and guacamole last night. For dinner. All by itself. And it was dang delicious.
//4. I went a few days this week sans nail polish and I confess that I felt a little less girly and bit frumpy. I know, I know. #psycho
//5. I confess that living 45 minutes from the nearest Target is actually a GOOD thing. I only recently discovered the plethora of upholstered chairs they have...which could be very bad if I lived closer. Like this one. And this one.
//6. I confess that when faced with the decision to either do my nails or Pilates, I chose Pilates. But wait, that's good, right? Unless you're a weirdo like moi. (see #4)
//7. I confess that I am secretly naming the animals at my job. Only one has an official (public) name and the rest are not officially named because they will (hopefully) be released someday. However, that doesn't keep a girl with a penchant for naming things from naming them. I started with the turtles/terrapins: Allister, Bartholomew, Clyde, Ned, Charlie Chaplin and Syd. Then I moved to the porcupine fish: Fizz and Fuzz. This week, I started on the baby bonnethead sharks: Pixel and Paxil. (The latter might have a slight neurological problem...but no one knows for sure...but aptly named, don't you think?
Well, I think that's all I've got for today. Hewitt and I are going to relax this weekend. There will probably be reading, a bit of cleaning and a marathon of Dirty Jobs on Netflix. Three cheers for the freakin' weekend!
I just found your blog from Leslie's link up and I'm your newest follower!
ReplyDeleteI confess that I'm jealous that you had chips and guac for dinner--that sounds like the best meal ever!! :)
Happy Friday!
Jenn@ Going the Distance
Thanks for following Jenn! And, yes, chips and guac for dinner was one of my all-time faves!
DeleteHaha! My comment sounds just like Jenn's above - a chips and guac dinner sounds like heaven to me:) And, girl, I'm with you on the Target thing. Although there's one near me, it's always extremely shopped - low on sizes, variety and everything else. Which I am glad about because it means less temptation for me! Happy Weekend:)
ReplyDeleteI consider it "divine intervention" when the shirt I want at Target isn't available in my size. :) HA!
DeleteI'm stopping by from the link up! I've also had chips and guac as a meal before. So delish. I hate when I don't have time to do my nails too - I get super frustrated! Your blog is adorable btw!
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth. I hope to have the time to do my nails tonight. :)
DeleteFollowing your blog now. Super cute. By the way, can't a girl have pilates, nails, chips & guac all at the same time? Live it up :)
ReplyDeleteAmen, sister! That's what I'm preaching! :)
DeleteGirl, I talk about guacamole at least once a week on my blog. I'm obsessed! And totally eat it for lunch or dinner regularly.
ReplyDeleteRegarding #7, my 3 year old named her bedroom furniture. The bed is Pinky (it's purple), the dresser is Sam, the bookcase is Wall-e (like the movie), and the step stool is Fart (?).
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm not a fan of guacamole but I could easily eat chips and salsa or queso for dinner. Snyders white corn tortilla chips and HT Traders (from Harris Teeter) Sonoma salsa are staples at my house. I give the salsa a whirl in the blender to get a restaurant style consistency (thanks, Mom). So good!
