I ran my first 5k this weekend and I'm still alive, y'all. I'm pretty sore, but I did it. My time was 44:26. It's a great starting point and I can't wait to do another one and try to beat my time. Yeah!
Phew. A VERY rough pre-race photo.
There's the finish line down there at home plate. I thought it was pretty cool that you ran down the dirt area on the field and crossed home plate to finish. It was neat!
On Friday night (I know, this is not a chronological weekend re-cap...) I made cauliflower crust pizza from this recipe and it was a HIT! Everyone loved it and there were no leftovers. On the left is buffalo chicken and on the right is turkey pepperoni. Amazing. Y'all have to try this. For real! I used this recipe and added a little italian-seasoned bread crumbs to the cauliflower to soak up some of the moisture.
My sister and I went on a sister date Saturday night. We had Japanese food and got cupcakes for dessert. A great way to end the day after a 5k...Japanese food! Yum!
What did you do this weekend?
I love cauliflower crust pizza.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the 5K!
Great job running the 5K. I ran my first this year as well... and then I ran two more. There are a few others I will probably run in before the year is out. I think I have become obsessed with 5K events.... but I hate running. We seem to run around the same speed. Best of luck as you continue.
ReplyDeleteI love that pre-race pic of you! Your black top is super chic!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad there were no terrorist attacks mid-race.
