insta friday!

I'm so glad it's Friday, y'all. Even with a holiday smack dab in the middle of the week, I've felt like every other day has just

ccccrrrreeeeeeeeeeeppppeeeeddddd bbbbbbbyyyyyy.

Today, I'm hitting y'all with some instagram photos taken during the week on my iPhone with the instagram app. I'm linking up with Jeannett over at Life Rearranged for this InstaFriday post. ;)

So, I didn't really take a LOT of instagram photos this week, but I'll more-than-make-up-for-it in stories/explanations. Mmmkay?

I don't know how much you can see, but I was struck this week by how eclectic my taste in television is. Visible from top left: Teen Mom 2, The Walking Dead, Gossip Girl, Drop Dead Diva, The Jeff Corwin Experience, Sons of Anarchy, How I Met Your Mother and Workaholics. Not pictured are such gems as Swamp People, The Office, Switched at Birth, The Vampire Diaries, Man vs. Food and Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta.

Sigh. I guess I just get bored with one type of show??

Happy Birthday, America! My parents, like all good and wise Americans, always have their flag up. This past Wednesday was no different.

I went a little cray cray this week with the nail art. Blame boredom. Blame...something. But, I especially love the results on my toes. It really is very simple...paint a base color and drip dots of different colors on top. Let  dry and add a top coat. Voila! (Also, please forgive my tan (lotion) lines.) Heh. On my fingers, it's hard to tell that the glitter is pinkish lavender, but it is.

It's a most delicious and hearty meal. Mexican Chicken Chili. It's a WW recipe that I created and is only 6 points per serving. Healthy, flavorful and filling. Win, win WIN! (recipe below)

Mexican Chicken Chili

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Put frozen chicken in a slow cooker on high. Pour salsa, cumin, chili powder and chicken broth over chicken in slow cooker. When chicken is cooked (white all the way through), bring heat down to low and pull chicken apart in slowcooker with 2 forks. Rinse corn and black beans in a strainer prior to adding to slowcooker. Cook an additional 15-20 min on low. May add a dash of hot sauce if desired.

Well, that's all I've got folks. I'm planning on going bowling with some friends tonight and I can't wait.

Let's not talk about the fact that I stink at bowling and have never gotten about about a 40/50. Oh well...at least I'm entertaining.

Have a wonderful weekend!
