I'm a huge proponent of dressing festively for the holidays. (See the original post here!)
But, as with all fashion, moderation is key.
So, how would one dress "festively" for the Independence Day without looking like an Uncle Sam, you may ask? Well, lucky for y'all, I've got some tips here for looking fancy on the Fourth.
TIP: You can click on each item to see where to shop for it.
//Chambray is sort of a no-brainer for this holiday. Paired with red cropped pants and a skinny white belt, you've got a great dressier holiday outfit.
//Why not just bring in the festive-ness with your accessories? Star-shaped jewelry and sunglasses with a flag motif are great for this!
//You can't go wrong with a red blazer and striped tee. Add some jeans or shorts depending on the occasion.
//A subtle star print on a darker tank is great when paired with some casual shorts and flip flops. Again, it's enough to look festive without overkill.
//Red and blue is such a classic color combination that it's not hard to find it in a skirt. Paired it with a white tee and red sandals for a great casual cookout/outdoor party look.
I must say I've seen the flag print shorts and tops and I'm not really a fan. I mean, it's kind of weird to have the flag covering your hoo-hah...or your ta-tas...or any other nickname one might have for the um...ladyparts. ;)
So, how will you be dressing for the 4th?
