I get some of my greatest inspiration from reading other people's blogs. It's such a joy for me to scroll down the list of blogs I follow and see what everyone is thinking about and doing. That's how I came across this post on my friend Jill's blog.
If you haven't read it, you should. She's starting a series called Thankful Thursdays, and, though it's not Thursday as I write this, I think it's okay to piggyback on her idea 2 days later. :)
Today, I am thankful for:
-Mental and spiritual clarity
-Cooler weather
-Loving family and friends who support me
-A good job
-Instincts
-Football and it's nostalgic qualities
-New-found confidence
-Oreos and milk
-Running shoes
-My new living situation (more details on that later!)
-Lessons learned
-Early morning wake-ups where there is so much on my mind that all I can do is pray
-Apple Crumble candle from Bath & Body Works
What are you thankful for today?

I'm thankful that my little girl went pee pee in the potty this morning! Seriously, that's huge! I'm thankful for being out of credit card and school loan debt. I'm thankful and amazed every time I hear my son read. It's the biggest proof that the homeschooling is working. Lastly, I'm thankful for my husband who works so hard to take care of us and enables me to be at home with the kids.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for a car that runs, starbucks peppermint coffee, family that loves me unconditionally, and for the air I breathe! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, lovely!
I love these posts where you pause and intentionally notice God's blessings big and small and have gratitude. Such a good thing to give Him a "shout out". I am grateful for the support of my family, a church and this cup of tea to calm me down while my husband is away! Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love this list! Are you starting running again? Want to do a 5k with me? Racing makes running worthwhile. :)
